Well, I got up all early and such-like for the wonderful Christian Ethics course. It turned out very much like I had anticipated it; I can say for sure that it isn't a good thing.
After exiting my Civic, I entered the dark building to find a clustering of students. For the next thirteen minutes we were locked out of the classroom. Apparently, the staff had forgotten to unlock the building.
I had a class with the man's wife a while back; I'd seen him before---kind of an old-time old man with the black glasses and balding with a kind of W or V pattern with his remaining hair along the back of his head.
This is a 9:00 to 12:00 class, by the way---and it's PURELY common sense with jargon thrown in to make it intellectual. Everyone knows what morals and ethics are---so let's add jargon and throw Christianity up in there. Next three hours was a slow torment of him asking common place questions to girls that basically acted stupid (whether naturally or due to lack of sleep)---even when led with a question.
I apparently have a test Wednesday--one of four. I'm not exactly sure to be honest because he's a scatterbrain like his wife. He told us to do this reading assignment with some worksheet that he didn't have to hand out (he instead gave us this other worksheet that was unrelated and told us to do it (thinking it was related to the reading assignment)---but it's instead due Wednesday with the reading mentioned for that day on the syllabus). It's pure memorization, in short, to discard after these horrible three weeks. However, it's a pain when the person doesn't even know what day it is/what he's doing.
My independent study did draw forth some light, however. The originally scheduled 2 to 3 papers for the course have been removed. Instead, the course has been restructured to be long, lengthy detailing on the 20-30? literary theories covered in the book. It'll probably make my hand hurt; it's largely easier with not having to balance papers now with everything else. I'd like to say it's fairly mindless like the other; it'll require some thought.
Mostly, I felt creeped out since the male professor I had to meet with for an hour wouldn't stop smiling. He was my former adviser; I was under the impression he didn't like me---and it was strangely unsettling. There's the possibility we'll be able to move into just plain e-mail correspondence if I'm seen to be grasping the material with ease. I'm hoping for it---because the jolly ol' crazed Christian man + him will test my sanity soon.
But for now---I have to work out all this stuff to do for tomorrow, somehow.

No, I don't even know what the subject means. I'm pretty sure I just
mashed some letters together.
Tomorrow begins the first of the summer course/independent study.
I have to apparently read the first chapter of the Literary
Criticism book by tonight and impart great intro knowledge
into my mind.
I also got the guh...Christian Ethics books. They're those
type of books that have that ancient, untouched library smell.
I can kind of guess what type of course it's going to be from it.
I'll be glad to be done with it.
...of course, I've broken this all up with some Wi-Fi SSB Brawl.
I played with another online friend of mine whose up North. Lag wasn't so bad; it feels kinda epic without so much lag. >;3
He's primarily a Luigi/Snake character---and I've only seen Luigi thus far. I can apparently play a mean Mr. Game & Watch; I basically got him...but someone walked in front of the screen and I fell off (was in midair with the parachute) somehow.
Wario v. Luigi was more even; he got a couple Smash Balls and took teh lead. Still fun though.

So I got Grant Theft Auto IV today.
It's a pretty nice game for the PS3; they've nerfed my more favorite aspect of it.
Teh total carnage at a whim.
There used to be the ability for invincibility where you could just have fun
destroying things and causing chaos for teh fun of stealing tanks and so forth. Didn't use them really for the story aspects unless they were epic evil---but meh.
I'd often make up mini-games like---get all teh pimps with max wanted level or
do a makeshift Yellow Jacket Twisted Metal spree.
However, they've basically just added in these annoying cell phone codes
that are tied to these "achievements" (think titles in Guild Wars).
Basically, since invincibility would, well, allow you to get them all easy
they removed it for these auto-cell phone numbers you have to dial.
One being a health + armor + ammo restore and another being just an armor restore.
However, if you get shot (there is a a cheat category on the cell you have to scroll down to), it fails---and you're far more likely to die. Say, if you get shoved into an open area by the police and they're pumping you full of bullets and you can't make it to some sort of cover---there's really no way you can restore either.
So I guess---they want you to stick to the story and their mini-games...? That or the online play.

So yeah...
Spoilers for those who haven't finished Twilight Princess herein...
------------------------------------
The second cutscene with Link, Zelda, and non-cursed Midna and the whole
"we can't be together, blah" gave me Lunar 2: Eternal Blue vibes. However,
I didn't see Link doing anything to go after her this time---or yet anyway.
So I guess he's either got the Zelda chick he barely knows or teh farm
girl who had amnesia for 9/10th the game. Way to throw teh harem.
Overall, it was saddening; I felt better after glancing at deviantART
since fans fill in the whole Nintendo fail part. :3 Some stuff was quite
nice---'twas good to see Link make the right decision.
...and Zant's boss fight made me laugh---he's an idiot.
Way to choose your a lacky, Ganondorf. That's why you get a sword to teh unsightly scarred chest, god-sama/are distracted by fishing poles during sword battles to the death.
The Zelda Wiki was a bit more interesting too:
http://www.zeldawiki.org/Midna
:D Chance of sequel = win. Never thought I'd say that about a Zelda game.

Well, yesterday I had planned an epic entry about the perverse wind. Given the abnormal weather after effects of a front from somewhere else, it was blowing at about forty miles per hour here. As such, I felt it trying to remove my shirt for a while...
However, I eventually decided it wouldn't make a very good entry once the wind figured out it had picked the wrong target and proceeded to continually blow some type of dust/wood particles in my eyes at great speeds.
Instead, I continued with Twilight Princess. Having gotten to the point where I can tell its at about the end (way past Ganondorf's first cut scene appearance---still not sure what hodgepodge of an ethnic mutt that one is [I'm betting Irish x someone with a skin disease]). So I intend to finish it today and claim the right of having actually finished a Zelda beyond Minish Cap (which I almost don't count since the plot is about ye thick: Bird hat commands you to save teh kingdom---somehow you do---end).
The Midna x Link dynamic is quite nice; it's probably one of the reasons I'm actually finishing this one.
Also BONES' Soul Eater is becoming quite the shounen slug fest with the awesome animation. :3 If you haven't seen it, I suggest you try and episode.
Was going to attach the opening; it seems Youtube hid it away. Look for Rumbel's subs if you do---that way you can get the "Late Night (uncut) version.

Today, I finished off my last exam. I also submitted my portfolio
to the School of Education for their review/pre-interview stuff.
Apparently, I have to put something for community service though
(Emmanuel assuming every teacher is involved in a church helping
the community). So I apparently have to write some paragraph
about tutoring because that's all I got in that vain. Had to call
the Dean there and talk about it---since I'm the first one
to submit, it seems.
I also was dragged along to Pizza Hut. Apparently some prospective professor
was thinking about joining Emmanuel College's English department; the chair of the English
department/my adviser kept pressing my attendance with the bribe of a free meal. I ended up
going at noon; it was fairly typical. Talk about classes, talk about future, etc.
She made me talk the most because I was an English-Education major and such.
But I did get some free pizza.

Today's been a bright spot in a few ways---
No more ED200 classes until the final exam on Thursday.
88 on my 12-page paper rough-draft with a revision to mend and make it teh 'A'. She's apparently one of the hardest English professors. Her marking-up is certainly more of what I'd expect of the professor type---very much you better fit the MLA mold or its your soul. Which I like---since I need to learn that better.
...and it's also been a bad one.
Since the one teacher backed out of the independent study,
I was basically told to look elsewhere.
I was told to either find some college nearby (driving distance)
with a Critical Theories or Multiethnic Literature course;
I've found none with anything for the summer.
Farther Georgia colleges have yielded nothing, as well.
Was told to try LSU (online courses); they're
only teaching odd basic stuff and courses like
Horror Literature (Dracula, Frankenstein, etc) w/such
focuses as lesbian vampires and video assignments like Leprechaun Back in The Hood or such (no surprise Emmanuel wouldn't take that).
So I'm a bit annoyed as in regards to it. My last reply from my instructor after looking was: "I hope there is one somewhere." So it feels a bit...belated to be trying to find one now when I'm otherwise supposed to slap down $1,000 something for an independent study that doesn't include book fees at Emmanuel.
I suppose her replies might have to do with her not sleeping in order to grade people's papers---I did the best, I was told---but then again, I was probably the only one who met the page/source requirement.
In class, the professor was akin to what I'd call tipsy for the otherwise overly serious, proper type that she is. Apparently sleep deprivation does stuff to a person such as herself.
It was amusing that she let slip major liberal political views like she hates Bush and isn't opposed to flag burning since it's just a symbol and when did it become holy. She said she'd probably get complaints from the super conservative students in class for that; she said the Academic Dean is a "liberal" too. Thus, I was explained to that she's a "liberal" who was raised in a conservative household and whose beliefs are otherwise conservative...? Or some such. Guess all English people are wacky like myself.
....but back to the GOOD topic news now. Were this Writing for Media, I'd have been condemned for not having put this at top ala Inverted Pyramid style.
But my father spoke to one of his friends at Wal-Mart who remarked that there appeared to be a few Wii units in the back of the store getting ready to be "stocked" under some of the Mario Kart/wheel units. So he was going to see if he could him to reserve one for me tonight. Hopefully that'll be the case---so I can save the $40 in shipping.

I was up late last-night talking to some people/doing whatever. At one point I commented (after someone noted it being late and didn't I usually turn in for college by now), that I'll wake up when I wanted.
So I got up as per normal to silence my alarm before realizing that my eyes didn't want to stay open---so my perfectly reasonable solution was since I didn't want to force my eyes---and I opted that the best solution was to lay back down upon my bed and let my eyes rest a moment before opening them up again and....you can guess the result.
I somehow feel asleep instantly. >.> Woke up about an hour later and realized I was late to class. Sent an email out to the teacher; I showed up giving an excuse because I've become increasingly sinister. It was bought, of course, because I can win others over.
The rest of the day was the typical college rush...papers, projects, papers, and more projects due.
Trying to figure out if I'm going to actually be doing an independent study along with this one summer class now---because the advisor doesn't know what's going on because the person who seemed likely to do it has become increasingly scatter-brained since having her seed.
...and super Nerds or whatever by Wonka aren't good in packages. D: Too much of that nerd, weird candy aftertaste. Barely could eat the one vending machine one.
That, and since my avatar has a lantern light---I'm beginning to relate it to the Crisis Core Tonberry Summon "Murderous Thrust." Little evil fish monster green thing goes for the stab, trips, and a knife poinks someone in the head.
So beware the Tonberries, methinks.

If anyone is curious as to my particular measure I took on today's class load, I skipped the whole lot of 'em. Including the English social "Mellow Monday" by stating that I had to work---which I technically did; I didn't go into the full details.
However, in my bracket of laid back time, I failed to recollect items due tomorrow for my American Education course. As I set-off for work I thought to check this note card that I had scribbled "important dates" on during a day in class which we were having presentations---and it was the only source to scribble on when he began spouting off all the stuff that was being crammed in to be due at the last minute because he was gone for coach-related activities.
So, reminder notes fail after one use because they're dismissed.
I have a two-page paper and a semi-presentable portfolio due; I'm not really prepared to put the portfolio together (I lack page protectors in which I can slip the printed pages).
I'll have to live off my natural charisma in the meanwhile.
...and I sent off the email to McClain and Dr. Beasley; I hadn't considered if they both wanted to do the character reference. I'm hoping it won't end with one of those "pick one of us" type things where I have to indirectly insult one of them.
Mostly now, I'm thinking towards the summer because all of the major items are going down. While I do have the one 9 to 12 class 5-days-a-week for like three weeks---I hope there will be some fun memories born of the summer yet.
I feel too professional nowadays (says the guy playing hookie).

Where to begin for the day...
Oh, yes. I've chosen to put weird for my mood; I'm not any weirder than I am usually, I think.
Probably should have used it in the "searching" entry; I forgot and its dead already.
I mostly picked it because the weird black box face for it---perplexes. Looks like a mini pinball machine on his face.
In any case, I should also give thanks to my group project members in Advanced Composition. We were supposed to meet and discuss the group project on this special non-class day; I happened to anticipate people weren't going to show. So I sent out an email stating that if at least two group members didn't reply (I knew one would---he's the only one who had been) that I wasn't going to bother showing up for that bracket of time.
I've thus become reacquainted with my Nurse Witch Komugi and The Soultaker singles. So the music field is half a lie.
Back to the subject field at hand---I'm debating as to when to show-up for class per say. My now official next class will be the typical routine, then I have Writing for Media, and this mandatory English major afternoon thing called "Mellow Monday." However, it's just the straight-up English majors reading their 20-page papers on whatever that I'm not required to do---so I don't know why I have to attend. However, I can't skip it, anyway.
So not much point here, really. Weekend didn't feel so much like one; I'm not recovered for Monday, I think. Enjoy the Komugi picture though.
----------------------------------------
...and I'm still deciding on my possible Wii purchase. It's like $645 for this particular package with shipping and tax:

Didn't really look into it much during the weekend with FAFSA and other stuff on my mind.

Since I didn't want to leave a completely blank journal, I figured I'd do a type of "blah, blah" insertion here for all the eager fans of yours truly.
I just finished-up some additional paper-work getting of forms from my freshman year; I exempted myself from the GACE with my old SAT scoresheet. After that, I had to go to the "upstairs" of the Education building to retrieve my ol' evaluation form from my freshman observation that I had merrily forgotten. Niceties were exchanged; I heard "good things" have been said of me recently in the Education building. Always comforting to know people discuss you like a slab of educational meat~
Since I'm sure the vast majority of you have no idea what I'm talking about here...
The entrance into the School of Education occurs before junior year.
-You complete all your core classes + two introductory education courses
- Fill out an application and sign-up for an interview
-Take the GACE (SAT wannabe) or exempt with at least a SAT score of 1000
-Portfolio: Take a binder and insert: Your unofficial transcript at the end of your sophomore year, GACE/SAT scores, "Knowing, Sharing, Caring" paper [how you'll be this type of teacher], "Philosophy of Education" paper [what your philosophy of education is/basically a division of schooling (book work) v. education (practical application)], background check, and reflections (one page writings per observation at a school), organization membership
-Three reference forms that say you've got the goods: From an Emmanuel education professor, Emmanuel (your field) professor, and one of your outside the campus teachers giving you props.
Pretty standard, all and all.
Beyond that, today shall consist of the following:
-Organizing minions to complete their part of the group business project---chance of success: low
-Finding the hapless soul that will aid in the process of designing a home page for Graphic Design---chance of success: required
-Attend to horse watering whilst keeping their demonic spirits at bay with a hose---chance of success: high, they fear the water blasts
-Montage by the Moonlight [CAP (Cultural Awareness Program event) that has English people reading poetry or such from Emmanuel's publication "Montage"]---chance of success: boring but with food perks
-Armor collecting in Guild Wars---chance of success: if not suffering from "Laziness" condition
---------
Beyond that, I really have no interesting details to add.
Had my birthday on the fifteenth; I wasn't feeling it as a birthday. There was no celebration per say so it was pretty much just another day. Depressing if only due to not getting as much adoration as I so rightly deserve.
...uh, I also hate Nintendo. They have a nice Wii package at Wal-Mart for about $663 where you get the system, all these accessories, Mario Party 8, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, additional accessory of choice, and choice of 4 games---but it's online only.
I don't want to have to pay $40 in shipping costs.
